Popular wedding songs are precisely called as such because many people seem to find meaning in their lyrics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with jumping into the bandwagon and having the same popular wedding song as a thousand other couples. There are however some nice tips to remember when you choose your popular wedding song.

Go a Few Years Back

Yes, it is all right to have the same popular wedding song as everyone else but you don’t want to have the same song playing from the reception room beside yours. You can pick a hit popular wedding song from a few weeks back instead of one of the hits last week. This will lessen the possibility of you having a popular wedding song that is also the wedding song of everyone else who got married on the same day.

Ask the DJ or Band

If you have no idea which popular wedding song is perfect for you then ask your reception band or DJ to give you some suggestions. They are experts in the field of music and will offer suggestions based on the melody and lyrics quality of each song.

Have Activity Songs

It would be great to have a popular wedding song that is also meaningful to both of you. Maybe you would like to have the song that was playing when you first bumped into each other. Your theme song however, will only be good for the two of you probably on your first dance at the reception. You should consider having one popular wedding song for every wedding activity. Pick songs for the entrance of the bride, cocktail time, dinner time, cake cutting and parents’ dance

Include Tribute Songs

It would be a great idea to have a popular wedding song that was a hit a few decades ago. A particular song that was special to set of parents would be a wonderful way to show affection and gratitude. You can play your parents’ popular wedding songs when you each dance with them.

Have Variations to a Song

You may like a particular popular wedding song but you just can’t stand the same old beat. Have your band play the song in a different beat. You can slow dance to an originally fast song or you can have a disco dance with an originally slow song.

Check the Lyrics

It’s important to read song lyrics before you decide to have a popular wedding song. Some songs have great tunes but may send out such negative messages as desperation, mild sexual suggestions and separation. Some couples seem to think that there is nothing wrong with such popular song lyrics. Make sure however that you judge a song not just by the melody but by the lyrics too if you are the type who doesn’t appreciate such lines.

Check the Artist

Nobody’s perfect but you might be the picky type who wouldn’t like an artist who has radically different principles and beliefs from you. You might also consider checking a band’s status. Do you honestly want a song from a teeny bopper bubble gum band with members who probably never even had first loves yet?

As a beginner writer, you are probably wondering how to write a hit song. Luckily, you don’t have to be an extremely experienced music composer to be a good song writer. Most people want to know do I start with an instrument or with the chords or lyrics? Do I have to ponder the idea for days or just pop out a melody? To tell you the truth there is no set in stone way to write a song. It really all depends on the song writer, their strengths and uniqueness when it comes to writing music. Over the next few minutes, I am just going to try and convey to you some tips on how to write a song, some starting points and other various ideas.

For your basic song, it doesn’t really matter what particular genre you are in, most songs have the same basic structure. An example of your basic song is as follows:

Intro, Verse One, Chorus, Verse Two, Chorus and Repeat Chorus.

Listen to some of your favorite music and see if this is the basic structure you hear every time. Remeber, the best way to learn, especially in music is by listening to the work of others.

First off, you have your intro. An intro is just as it sounds, the introduction. Your song can be introduced by any instrument or vocalization. In fact, some songs don’t even have true intros so you can skip this part or make it a short rhythm or chord sequence. You basically are just looking for a start to your song, an opening…going from nothing to something.
Next you have your verse. When learning how to write a song, you have to realize that this is the core of what your song is about. These are the lyrics, accompanied by music that help the listener relate to what you are feeling or thinking.

If you are a beginner song writer then remember not to try too hard to make a song perfect. You can write and rewrite but you might just drive yourself crazy because personal standards are sometimes impossible to reach. As a beginner focus on exploring music and ideas. You are learning and learning how to write a song require practice just like anything else you do. If you are having a tough time then as a tip, you might want to take some sort of music theory class to help you gain a better understanding of music.

Most music teachers consider teaching music to their dear students both their profession and passion. Most of them have the heart for arts and music – making each student love learning music and music as a whole. With this kind of outlook and disposition in teaching music, the inspired and motivated music teacher tends to begin his search for consistent improvement in his teaching strategies as well as his effort for personal and professional growth.

Indeed, there is a wide variety of creative music teachers resources that students can certainly enjoy and get excited working on with. According to studies, the integration of audio and video recording in music education has been an effective technique to catch the attention and grab the interest of the learners. This is believed to be an effective tool in raising the level of interest and motivation among music learners.

Current practice in music teaching favors a practical and a hands-on approach in emphasizing performance and composition. The use of recorded music as a teaching resource has tended to take a back seat. However, recordings are the predominant vehicle of musical experience today. As the students are expert listeners to recorded sound, major developments in the access to and presentation of recorded music are opening up new educational possibilities to most of them.

Targeted to be implemented in most music classrooms, the production and engineering aspects of recorded sound to online music libraries and teachers’ experiences of using recordings in the classroom have been randomly practiced and taken into consideration.

When a classroom setting has a relaxed atmosphere, informal learning may take place yet anxiety, tension and pressure would neither rule the learning situation. Hence, when there is relaxed supervision with no teachers behind the desk, the students would be more eager and interested to learn music. Students may also work in groups – giving them more chances of friendship and peer support. In this case, cooperative learning is found effective. The music teacher may encourage the students choose various musical instruments of their choice and eventually master such.

After they finish recording, they may organize or set-up a short play or a mini-concert to show their rendition of songs and other performances. These activities can heighten the learning process as they get too excited in meeting their objectives and getting high grades. These can also help them boost enough self-confidence and self-esteem. Through these music teachers’ resources, the music teacher tends to meet most of his objectives all at the same time.

These creative techniques in music education intend to motivate the learners from different ages and with different lifestyles. So start your quest to amazingly creative music teachers resources now. Be inspired to share your knowledge as well as the joys of music to your students. Make them realize that learning music is fun so they have to do it all by heart. Happy teaching!

It is ultimately derived from mousa, the Greek word for muse. In ancient Greece, the word mousike was used to mean any of the arts or sciences governed by the Muses. Later, in Rome, ars musica embraced poetry as well as instrument-oriented music. In the European Middle Ages, musica was part of the mathematical quadrivium: arithmetics, geometry, astronomy and musica. The concept of musica was split into three major kinds by the fifth century philosopher, Boethius: musica universalis, musica humana, and musica instrumentalis. Of those, only the last? />Musica universalis or musica mundana referred to the order of the universe, as God had $Dollar$ Counts” title=”Thank For The Support” />

Etymology

The word music comes from the Greek mousikê (tekhnê) by way of the Latin created it in “measure, number and weight”. The proportions of the spheres of the planets and stars (which at the time were still thought to revolve around the earth) were perceived as a form of music, without necessarily implying that any sound would be heard—music refers strictly to the mathematical proportions. From this concept later resulted the romantic idea of a music of the spheres. Musica humana, designated the proportions of the human body. These were thought to reflect the proportions of the Heavens and as such, to be an expression of God’s greatness. To Medieval thinking, all things were connected with each other—a mode of thought that finds its traces today in the occult sciences or esoteric thought—ranging from astrology to believing certain minerals have certain beneficiary effects.

Musica instrumentalis, finally, was the lowliest of the three disciplines and referred to the manifestation of those same mathematical proportions in sound—be it sung or played on instruments. The polyphonic organization of different melodies to sound at the same time was still a relatively new invention then, and it is understandable that the mathematical or physical relationships in frequency that give rise to the musical intervals as we hear them, should be foremost among the preoccupations of Medieval musicians.

[edit] Translations

The languages of many cultures do not include a word for or that would be translated as music. Inuit and most North American Indian languages do not have a general term for music. Among the Aztecs, the ancient Mexican theory of rhetorics, poetry, dance, and instrumental music, used the Nahuatl term In xochitl-in kwikatl to refer a complex mix of music and other poetic verbal and non-verbal elements, and reserve the word Kwikakayotl (or cuicacayotl) only for the sung expressions (Leon-Portilla 2007, 11). In Africa there is no term for music in Tiv, Yoruba, Igbo, Efik, Birom, Hausa, Idoma, Eggon or Jarawa. Many other languages have terms which only partly cover what Europeans mean by the term music (Schafer). The Mapuche of Argentina do not have a word for music, but they do have words for instrumental versus improvised forms (kantun), European and non-Mapuche music (kantun winka), ceremonial songs (öl), and tayil (Robertson 1976, 39).

Some languages in West Africa have no term for music but the speakers do have the concept (Nettl 1989,[citation needed]). Musiqi is the Persian word for the science and art of music, muzik being the sound and performance of music (Sakata 1983,[citation needed]), though some things European influenced listeners would include, such as Quran chanting, are excluded. Actually, there are varying degrees of “musicness”; Quran chanting and Adhan is not considered music, but classical improvised song, classical instrumental metric composition, and popular dance music are.

There are many reasons, issues and circumstances that can be associated with missed music lessons and classes. Though these incidents have been saddening and frustrating to most dedicated music teachers, such really inevitably happen. There is only one key to resolve this conflict: the Power of MOTIVATION.

Consequently, various music teachers’ resources and tips, which are designed and intended to motivate students attend their music lessons and classes regularly, have been made readily available online. There are some reliable and objective websites that can certainly provide music teachers some great resources to modify and develop their music teaching strategies.

Since you have gotten into this page, your willingness and urge to adopt music teaching resources and tips seem to be intense and obvious. Well, you are on the right track; this article tends to give you some helpful tips and resources in teaching music more effectively and efficiently.

Motivate Young Minds
Motivation is the key issue to gauge how exactly students learn. A music teacher may be puzzled or even worried when it seems to him that his students lack self-motivation. With that thinking, he must know the motivational needs of his students.

Motivation may come from the teacher himself or from the learning environment. What matters here is the students would be encouraged to attend classes with much determination and perseverance.

In a classroom setting, learners can be motivated by their own music preference, interest, background, experience, skills and abilities. Also, music teaching efforts and strategies should always adhere to the personal motivational needs and qualities of the students. With these methods, you could see their willingness and eagerness to learn and eventually love music more.

Inspire Your Students
Some would agree that motivation in a classroom setting is quite synonymous to inspiration. Meaning, one’s motivating factors are the same as his sources of inspiration. Basically, he tries his best to achieve his objectives not just because he is determined to do so but because he is indeed motivated and inspired to succeed.

Inspiring students is never easy. You need to come up with a variety of new strategies that can make them really interested and hooked with your daily activities and sessions. With you and your music teaching resources or techniques, they would surely look forward to seeing you next meeting.

It is true that teaching as a whole is a noble profession. In fact, it is more than just a vocation or a career: it is more on commitment and fulfillment. A teacher feels his worth and success when he sees his students succeed in time. Indeed, teaching young minds is a rewarding experience.
